Which myPandos hosting product is right for you?
Shared, WordPress, Cloud/VPS, or Reseller β a quick guide to picking the right hosting product before you buy.
myPandos sells several hosting products under different names. If you're not sure which one you need, here's a quick guide.
Shared Hosting
A managed website hosting account on our Plesk control panel. myPandos looks after the server; you manage your website and files through Plesk, and your email from your myPandos Dashboard. No technical server administration required. Best for a standard website, blog, or small business site.
WordPress Hosting
The same Plesk platform as Shared Hosting, with WordPress installation and management tools ready to go from day one. Best if you know you're building specifically on WordPress.
Cloud Hosting / VPS
Cloud Hosting and VPS are the same underlying product β a virtual server with full root access, sold under two names. There is no managed control panel; you (or your developer) install and administer everything yourself. Best for custom applications, developers, or anyone who has outgrown the limits of shared hosting and needs full control.
Reseller
For agencies and businesses who want to resell myPandos services β domains, hosting, VPS, and more β to their own customers, under their own brand and at their own prices.
Still not sure?
Contact myPandos support β we're happy to talk through your requirements. If you outgrow Shared or WordPress Hosting later, you can order Cloud Hosting/VPS and use our free migration request to move your site across.
After you change your plan
You can change a hosting plan yourself from the service page. What happens next depends on the direction:
- Moving to a bigger plan creates a pro-rated invoice for the days left in your current term. The upgrade is applied as soon as that invoice is paid. Until then the service page shows the plan you are moving to, the invoice, and the amount β nothing changes on your site before payment.
- Moving to a smaller plan is scheduled for your next renewal date, so you keep everything you have paid for until then. The service page shows the plan you are moving to and the date it takes effect.
If the service page shows no pending change, none is scheduled. You can start another change at any time; a second upgrade is not created while a previous one is still awaiting payment.
